I Was Never a Rescue Boat ⛵ For years, I played the rescue boat. I chased drifting vessels. I pulled stranded boats to shore. I exhausted myself trying to save people who were never anchored. Then I remembered who I am.
I Was Never a Rescue Boat ⛵ For years, I played the rescue boat. I chased drifting vessels. I pulled stranded boats to shore. I exhausted myself trying to save people who were never anchored. Then I remembered who I am. I was never meant to be a rescue boat. I am a lighthouse. My role is not to carry people through every storm. My role is to shine. To illuminate the path. To warn of hidden rocks. To guide those willing to find their bearing. The sea will always have storms. Some boats will still choose rough waters. But a lighthouse does not abandon its post to chase every vessel. It stands. It shines. It guides. Here's to the years of being a rescue boat. And here's to finally becoming the lighthouse I was always meant to be. I am light. I illuminate paths. #UmulkhairWrites✍️
